Safari Disco Club

Safari Disco Club is a Barcelona club with capacity for 900-plus people across a main floor and alternative room. Its defining proposition is LGBTQIA+ nightlife at large-room scale: recurring parties place pop, current hits and electronic music beside live shows, while the secondary space commonly turns toward techno. The experience sits firmly in late-night dance culture, with themed sessions shaping the bill and the crowd.

A room remade in 2016

Safari’s documented story begins with a renovation. Coverage published on April 7, 2017 described the Tarragona 141 site as a new club since the previous September, placing its launch in September 2016; it named Aladino Nespral as manager and highlighted a large stage and two environments. The opening moved quickly into a pop-led identity. In late September, Shangay listed La Prohibida at the helm of Saturday Ultrapop sessions. Two weeks later, the magazine reported a full house for La Veneno, with Las Juanettes and Bulma Beat booked for the following edition. Those reports capture Safari’s early formula: named hosts, DJs and drag-adjacent pop performance, fitted to an all-night club programme.

Built for the full night

Programming continues to favor recurring, party-led nights: POPair brings pop and electronic music, while YASS! divides its two rooms between pop-and-hits and house. The commercial room plan lists a broad dance floor, several bars, sofa-equipped reserved areas, cloakroom and a covered outdoor smoking terrace. A 10.5-by-4.6-metre stage connects directly to dressing rooms, and the sound-control position sits centered, 13 metres from the stage. The smaller room adds its own bar, seating and a small raised platform, giving promoters a compact second setting alongside the main room.
