About La Terrrazza
La Terrrazza is a 1,000-capacity open-air club in Barcelona’s Poble Espanyol, built around an inner courtyard that keeps the dancefloor under the sky. Its setting supplies the distinction: the club occupies the Poble Espanyol reproduction of Casa Son Berga, a Mallorcan house whose portal and Ionic-columned gallery frame the space. The result is a summer-night room where architecture carries as much presence as the DJ booth.
A club built into a replica
La Terrrazza opened in 1995, founded by the Night Sun Group, and has presented itself since then as a home for electronic club culture. Its address comes with a longer architectural backstory: Casa Son Berga belonged to the Santacília family during the 16th century and part of the 17th, before passing to the Berga family in 1677. Poble Espanyol recreated its main doorway and three-part inner gallery, placing those details at the centre of the club’s courtyard.
That pairing of a 1995 dance institution and a historicist setting has shaped the programming. La Terrrazza’s own roll call reaches from Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin to Ellen Allien, Louie Vega and Hunee, a useful guide to the selectors and styles the room has sought out across its three decades.
The room now
Expect a DJ-led, electronic-first calendar: house, techno, disco-leaning sets and contemporary club nights form the core, with themed pop, hip-hop and revival parties also appearing. The official season runs from May into November, largely on weekends, with sunset and late-night formats. This is a courtyard dancefloor first, with the replicated gallery and façade enclosing the action while the roofline stays open; private-event service includes a bar option, and regular nights are built around dancing until late.
