About Input High Fidelity Dance Club
Input High Fidelity Dance Club is Barcelona’s roughly 1,200-capacity late-night electronic room inside Poble Espanyol. It opened as INPUT in April 2016 and makes its case through immersion: a circular dance-floor plan, Funktion-One sound and a wraparound 360-degree LED visual system. The scale comes from its 2019 third-anniversary party, which drew over 1,200 people; expect a club built for bodies in the mix, with the DJ and crowd sharing the same focal point.
A Poble Espanyol reset
INPUT arrived in a space with a clubbing past. A 2016 guide identifies the venue as former The One, itself a successor to Discotheque; manager Edu Clarà later described a run of electronic-music promoters without sustained regularity following Discoteque’s earlier spell. Clarà’s team started INPUT in 2016 after several business-model attempts and aimed the reboot at electronic music, he said.
The opening month made that intent audible. The club scheduled Fumiya Tanaka, Vlada and Dafoe for its April 15, 2016 launch, then booked Audiofly, Martin Buttrich and Blond:ish for Flying Circus’s tenth-anniversary Barcelona stop one week later. On April 6, 2019, Hot Since 82 headlined INPUT’s third birthday, a sold-out gathering reported at above 1,200 attendees. That night captures the formula: international house and techno names inside an adapted former club room.
The room after midnight
Programming stays rooted in electronic music—techno, house and related forms—while the club also has hosted concerts, corporate events, brand presentations and award ceremonies. Current house guidance puts regular nights on Fridays, Saturdays and selected holidays from midnight to 6 a.m.; promoter-led concerts can carry different entry rules. For a show, the decisive physical details are the circular configuration, Funktion-One system and 360-degree LED screens, with the dance floor at the center of the experience.
