Aclam Club

Aclam Club is a 210-capacity concert and cultural room in Barcelona’s Eixample. Its defining feature is a museum setting: the walls and shared spaces hold a private collection of over 300 guitars, joined by classic Catalan motorcycles and analog cameras. That gives even a compact show the feel of a visit inside a collector’s working world, with music, lutherie, design and photography sharing the same floor. The venue also forms part of the Aclam group, alongside Canivell Guitars and Aclam Guitars.

A shop grows into a listening room

The present-day club took shape in 2019. Aclam, then a specialist guitar shop, expanded into the adjoining premises, previously used as a parking area; a full renovation with acoustic work created the current hybrid of concert room, cultural center and gathering place. Jordi Canivell owns the instrument collection that frames the space. The club initially operated as a members’ club centered on guitars, vintage motorcycles and analog cameras. The COVID-19 pandemic pushed a change in format, and programming manager Marcel Cavallé describes its later identity as a meeting place for people drawn to culture. That shift produced Aclam Sessions: close-format encounters with musicians, particularly guitarists, alongside composition workshops, masterclasses and talks. In 2026, the program included workshops with Enric Montefusco, Miqui Puig and Mazoni, plus a scheduled masterclass with Portishead’s Adrian Utley.

How a show feels

Aclam books across jazz, blues, soul, rock, folk and flamenco, while its programming also welcomes artist-led learning events and collaborations with promoters. The result suits listeners who value a seated-or-standing small-room scale and a calendar with guitar culture at its center. The main room is open-plan and adaptable, with a stage, professional sound and lighting, a large bar, dressing rooms and a recording studio among the facilities. Museum viewing can be part of the concert experience: several events open doors early for visitors to explore the collection before the performance.
