A restaurant that built its own gig circuit

The available history begins in April 2018, when owner Brooke Pollock opened Arcobar as a food, bar and events business. Live music became a central part of the operation from its first year; the venue says it had hosted 1,150-plus shows since 2018 by 2026. That is a substantial run for a room whose ticketed concert capacity is 75, and it explains the emphasis on seated, artist-forward bills instead of high-volume club turnover.

One useful marker arrived on 15 February 2025, when Arcobar staged its 1,000th show as a free outdoor event featuring Jimmy Cupples and Aaron Schembri. Current programming preserves that mixed-access approach: paid Saturday dinner concerts sit beside free weekend sets, with local listings also identifying the venue as a regular live-music stop in Heatherton.

The room at showtime

Expect a restaurant first, then an intimate seated concert environment. Ticketed events take place indoors and require advance booking; the indoor restaurant holds 100 diners and up to 75 people for live events. The schedule leans toward Australian singer-songwriters, country, rock and pop retrospectives, plus jazz, swing, blues and soul sessions. Floor-to-ceiling windows, an expansive bar, deck, balcony and lawns give the venue a light, open-plan character; free sets can move onto the lawns in suitable weather.
