NT’s Loft is a 250-capacity music bar and club on the second floor of Netil House in London Fields. Its defining feature is the split personality: a built-in stage and flexible main room serve intimate gigs and DJ sets, while a covered, heated terrace pulls the evening outward toward skyline views. The effect sits somewhere between a loft party and a proper small room, with space for seated jazz listeners early and a standing crowd later.

From civic building to Night Tales room

The setting began as Netil House, a 1960s office block described elsewhere as a former council college and office building; Eat Work Art opened the creative-workspace incarnation in 2009. That conversion put studios, events and public-facing spaces into a building previously used for civic and educational work. By April 2016, NT’s was being presented as a newly opened café-and-cocktail-bar operation from the team behind Night Tales pop-ups, occupying the loft-style space within Netil House. A 2023 account describes the venue as the group’s permanent London Fields bar-club base, with the second-floor room retaining bare cement floors and brick walls from the building’s earlier fabric. The strongest continuing thread is musical: Patterns curates Wednesday sessions built around improvised jazz, soul, broken beat and hip-hop, giving a weekly live anchor to a programme otherwise driven by DJs.

How the room plays now

Come midweek for an intimate, two-session jazz setup: live music begins at 8pm, tables are available, and the room shifts toward standing space between early and late sittings. Fridays and Saturdays favour house, disco, tech and adjacent dance music, with entry before 9pm free for club events and tickets required later. Physical details matter here: floor-to-ceiling windows, vintage seating, warm lighting, a bar and a built-in stage soften the warehouse shell; the terrace is covered and heated. Private hire also shapes the flexible layout, so a show can feel closer to a social gathering than a fixed black-box concert.
