Le Fez / Le Club Putney

Le Fez / Le Club Putney is an unlisted-capacity late-night venue in Putney, London, built around a split personality: Le Jardin’s foliage-filled lounge and Le Club’s dancefloor. The distinction is physical as much as musical. Guests begin amid birdcage-style booths, tropical décor and a central bar, then move into a separate club room for DJ-led nights that run late. The building is currently also preparing an eight-lane electronic-darts addition, placing games beside its established club operation.

A refit that remade the room

The present venue began as a conversion of the existing Fez nightclub at the end of 2018. Eclectic Bars, then part of the Brighton Pier Group, shut the Putney site for a full refit in late July; unexpected structural issues extended the works, and the club relaunched as Le Fez at the beginning of December. The company reported that the project accounted for the bulk of its £1 million capital investment during that period.

That redesign established the two-room format still defining a night here: Le Jardin, conceived as a tropical-garden bar with flower-bed and birdcage seating, and Le Club, the later dancefloor space. In 2021, after pandemic closure, the operators added further garden theming with tiki specialists Little Grass Shack, including the Secret Garden and new seating. The changes made the lounge a destination in its own right before the club programming starts.

The room today

Le Fez works chiefly as a programmed nightlife venue, with recurring DJ and social events shaping the calendar. House, party classics and broad late-night dance sets fit the room’s documented DJ format, while comedy and activity-led sessions have also appeared in its programming. Le Jardin supplies booths, cocktails and a garden-bar atmosphere; Le Club supplies the larger dancefloor, VIP booths and its own bar. Planned darts lanes and pizza service point toward earlier group bookings alongside the late-night offer.
