About Egg London

Egg London is a 1,000-capacity club in King’s Cross, spread through a Victorian warehouse with three indoor rooms and three outdoor spaces. Its distinguishing feature is a 24-hour licence: the venue is designed for long-form dance nights that can move between a high-ceiling main floor, a close-set middle room and terraces without leaving the building. The scale suits major DJ bills, while the separate rooms give promoters space to run contrasting moods at once.

A warehouse remade for all-night culture

The building’s club story begins with Laurence Malice, founder of the Trade party. Malice bought the Victorian warehouse in 1997 and used it as Trade’s headquarters before construction work began in 2002; Egg opened in May 2003. That lineage gives the venue a direct connection to London’s early all-night club culture, while Egg established its own multi-floor format inside the former industrial space.

A later turning point arrived during the pandemic, when Egg launched a crowdfunding appeal after its March 2020 closure. In November 2024, longtime promoter Ali Bee and former operations head Sen Jay took over via Chapter 1 Creations, coinciding with a refurbishment of the Loft, Middle Floor and Garden. The work brought a d&b Audiotechnik system to the Loft and upgrades to the Middle Floor’s KV2 and Garden’s Funktion-One setups.

The room today

Egg’s booking model combines club programming with private and corporate events, and its regular music focus runs through house, techno, melodic electronic music, Afro and Amapiano. For a showgoer, the practical draw is choice of room: the Ground Floor supplies the largest, high-ceiling dance space; the Middle Floor is lower-ceilinged and more enclosed, with a KV2 system; the Loft offers a smaller setting. The Middle Floor Terrace includes a DJ booth, seating and a kitchen, making daytime parties and extended sessions part of the venue’s design.
