About Locke
Locke is a Hamburg cultural bar and concert room at St. Pauli Fischmarkt 27, with capacity currently unpublished. A young room with a broad brief
Locke’s public identity is recent. A March 14, 2026 event billed as the venue’s second birthday places its arrival in 2024, and its official imprint identifies Kultur- & Gaststätte Locke UG and Julius Hartmann. One early documented evening came on December 4, 2024, when Locke and HamburgMusik presented a listening session with Phantom Orchard’s Ikue Mori and Zeena Parkins, framed as a conversation-led event instead of a conventional set. That choice captures the room’s range: music functions here alongside discussion and visual culture. In 2026, Hamburg’s Musikstadtfonds awarded €20,000 to Kultur- & Gaststätte Locke UG for “Locke Laut & Live,” giving the venue a concrete public boost for its live programme.
What the room feels like now
Electronic music supplies much of the current rhythm, especially ambient, dub-techno and DJ-led collective nights; the schedule also reaches into indie, rock, folk, country, pop and hip-hop. Expect a bar-first setup with drinks, small snacks and an easy drift between performances, conversation and hanging out. The venue sits above Golden Pudel Club and looks toward the Elbe, a physical contrast to many enclosed Hamburg rooms. Entrance runs via a staircase, so guests needing step-free access should plan accordingly.
