About Beat Boutique
Beat Boutique is a 200-capacity electronic-music club in Hamburg’s Deichtorhallen district, operating in a railway casemate on Altländer Straße. Its current form is compact: a 100-square-metre room beneath the tracks, with exposed steel and concrete replacing the former Sternbrücke bar’s small-shop footprint. That setting gives DJ-led nights a close-range feel, with the booth, dancefloor and bar sharing one concentrated space.
A bar forced into a second beginning
In autumn 2016, Jurij Klauss and Marco Francke took over a small Sternbrücke premises previously called Wasserschaden. An existing DJ position pushed their initial bar idea toward a music bar; Beat Boutique opened in 2017. Its stay under Sternbrücke ended as the bridge replacement advanced, and operators had to leave by the 2023–24 turn of year. Hamburg’s Sprinkenhof then fitted unused casemates at Altländer Straße 11 and 12 from January 2024, following BAID Architektur plans, so Beat Boutique and next-door Fundbureau could build their interiors. The keys changed hands on July 18, 2024, and Beat Boutique reopened in early September 2024. The relocation keeps the club under rail infrastructure while shifting it from the Schanzenviertel edge to a central site beside Deichtorhallen.
The room now
Programming centres DJ sets: the club describes a curated mix of local and international selectors, and MIZ records roughly 50 electronic concerts a year. House and electro lead the bill, with techno in the mix. The 200-person room pairs a DJ booth and supplied technical setup with a large bar counter; concrete walls, dark finishes and exposed steel beams frame the floor. Expect an intimate, standing-room club format with the action gathered in one 100-square-metre space.
