About OXI

OXI is an undisclosed-capacity electronic-music club on Wiesenweg in Berlin, operating from a large brick industrial building near Ostkreuz. Its clearest calling card is the outdoor dancefloor: daytime garden sessions can carry into indoor sets after dark, giving a single ticketed event two distinct settings. The scale suits club-focused bills, while the physical contrast between yard and interior gives long parties room to change pace.

A site with several lives

The Wiesenweg site already had a club lineage when OXI arrived. Groove reported that Kosmonaut operated there first, followed by a 2018 change of name and operators to Polygon. New owners took charge in March 2020, launching OXI with an explicitly varied, DJ-led electronic programme; the German Music Information Centre records its opening year as 2020 and describes a calendar of roughly 52 electronic concerts annually alongside non-music events.

Its early history also carries a sharp interruption. A November 12, 2021 reopening party marked OXI’s return after a closure beginning in August, with Ben Sims, Sandrien, SHERELLE, Paquita Gordon and Vril among the billed artists. The event’s published house rules also set a clear cultural frame: a no-photo policy and an anti-discrimination stance, alongside door sales for that particular night.

The outdoor side has kept developing. In May 2024, OXI reopened a newly renovated garden through a fundraiser event, presenting the space as a limited-capacity open-air setting with entry standards focused on consent, care and inclusion.

The room today

Expect electronic music first: techno, electro and house form the core, with disco-leaning daytime programming also appearing on the calendar. OXI Events presents club nights and concerts, while individual promoters shape many bills. The main practical draw is the industrial setting: a large brick structure, an open-air dancefloor and garden, plus the newer indoor O Floor used for late-night continuations. Berlin.de characterises the atmosphere as casual, with the music varying by event; choose the lineup carefully, then expect a dancefloor-led night instead of a conventional concert-room format.
