Oak Hill Social is a southwest Austin coffee-and-cocktail bar that presents local shows across a two-acre property. Its advertised event capacity reaches 500 standing in the picnic area, with a 99-person indoor room, so a bill’s feel depends on the space a promoter uses. The draw is the day-to-night format: coffee roasted on-site leads into cocktails, games and patio music. Expect a social lawn-and-patio setting, plus a small indoor stage, instead of a conventional dedicated concert hall.

A barbecue site becomes a social room

The site had a clear previous life. In December 2023, Community Impact described Oak Hill Social as a forthcoming cocktail-and-coffee bar at the former Metcalf BBQ at Graceland; an earlier report had pointed to a fall 2023 debut. Its opening arrived on February 24, 2024, according to the publication, with a two-acre grounds plan that included outdoor seating, televisions, games and fire pits. That brief opening chapter is the story: Oak Hill Social began as a hospitality project and made music one part of its community calendar. The venue describes Friday programming as live local music, spanning acoustic solo sets through country bands. On August 1, 2025, Local Sets ATX used the room for a live-recorded podcast built around musicians’ performances and backstories, a concrete example of the venue leaning toward local discovery.

How the show space works

Today, acts can enter through the open-mic route: Oak Hill Social’s listing invites solo artists, duos and bands to play 30–45-minute sets for potential residencies; originals, covers and every genre are eligible. That leaves room for hip-hop, electronic, rock, R&B, indie, folk and country, while the venue’s Friday messaging emphasizes local acoustic and country music. Indoors, performers get a stage and PA amid couches, armchairs, booths and bar seats. The outdoor patio provides covered seating, an outdoor bar, televisions, mini-golf and cornhole, creating a loose, mingle-friendly viewing setup.
