Friday, September 11: Craft brings a three-band black-metal bill

Craft (Sverige) heads Friday’s programme at Mayhem, joined by Obskuritatem from Bosnia and Stallgewitter, listed by the venue as Germany/Brazil. Saturday, September 12: KoreGalore! lets the room change purpose

Saturday’s KoreGalore! / Core has a broader timetable and a correspondingly wider idea of gathering. Mayhem lists the KoreGalore! market from 13:00 to 18:00, followed by Core from 18:00 to 01:00, with a suggested donation of 50 kroner. The music portion includes Deim, Samo, Mort, Pigbutcher, LØML and Bootycall, alongside the affiliations printed in the programme: Watt’Sub, Frikvens Syndikatet, DoomShop Kru, Prygl, KLUB KAOZ and Supernoise. It is a lineup that reads as a network of crews as much as a sequence of individual names.[1]

The value of taking in both nights lies in the contrast of their pacing. Craft, Obskuritatem and Stallgewitter begin Friday at 19:00 and offer a defined concert commitment. KoreGalore! opens its doors at Mayhem from 13:00 Saturday, with the Core programme beginning at 18:00; readers aiming chiefly for the music can plan around that later handover.
