The six-day multidisciplinary festival presents new work by over 40 young Bosacademie residents across visual art, food, fashion, music, performance and video. The opening’s listed programme gives the evening a useful internal rhythm: the exhibition begins at 17:00, followed by Oriental Delicatessen at 18:00, Arno Verbruggen’s performance at 20:00, then Manon De Bruyn and Bram De Laet’s music-and-image work at 20:45. Boscinema at De Cinema

Friday’s 20:00 Dear Antwerp double bill returns to Het Bos with Asa Horvitz’s GHOST and Jules Reidy’s Ghost/Spirit. Horvitz performs GHOST with Carmen Quill, Ariadne Randall and Wayne Horvitz; the concert is built around memory and grief, using voice, piano, electronics and viola da gamba. Its Het Bos presentation takes the concert form, placing the sound and words in the foreground. The approach fits Horvitz’s wider practice, which the Academy of Theatre and Dance describes as drawing together music with visual and performance-art elements.[3][5]

Reidy brings a guitar-centred set whose framework spans folk, electronics and drone, with microtonal structures, alternate tunings, sampling and electronic textures cited by the programme.
